Before I got Feign Death, I used it whenever I got hate instead of my pet. After Feign Death, it is mostly just taking up a barslot. I suppose it could
work in a boss situation when your Feign Death resisted, and you have to drop just a little bit of threat.

One way you used to use it though was to set traps. When traps could only be set out of combat, you would set one, attack, keep pet on passive, disengage, set trap, attack.
I believe that used to work, but now it is kind of obsolete because of in combat trap setting.
Maybe someone else might have a better example looked around but have
not seen any other Hunters mention if and when they use Disengage. So far I can't really even understand how it could be used. I just feel like I'm missing out on something by having this ability and never using it (or trully understanding how it should work)-WoW - Elesaria on Hyjal
